Yesterday I introduced you to Michelle, the beauty intern who bravely attempted at-home highlights. Today, I’d like you to meet her equally fabulous partner in crime, Laura, who recently got a henna tattoo and wanted to blog about the experience. I thought her new “accessory” looked really cool, but I’m not 100% on the whole temporary tattoo trend. Read on, then tell me in the comments if you think body art is a Love It or Leave It. Take it away, Laura!
In addition to being obsessed with all things beauty, I am also known to be somewhat of an accessory-a-holic too. So it was only a matter of time before I got a henna tattoo, since it’s basically a beauty accessory.
I went to Ashley Alford, a henna tattoo expert who helped me pick out an intricate design for my right wrist. It took about 15 minutes for the rich, rust-colored ink to dry and my tattoo lasted a little over a week.
Next, I’m going to try a fun and affordable temporary tattoo idea I read about in the July Cosmo. It says to stick a cluster of star stickers on your inner wrist or ankle before you mist yourself with self-tanner at home. The part under the sticker won’t absorb any color, creating an outline. Then, you peel off the stickers after the tanner has dried and you’ll have a sexy little constellation on your skin for a few days.
Here’s a pic of my henna “bracelet.” Tell me what you think: Love it or Leave it?
